The Chair supports the setting up of new university partnerships as well as the creation of tools and training courses dedicated to membrane technologies.

The INOV’EAU network brings together 3 technological platforms dedicated to membrane water treatment, located at:

  • Ouagadougou (Burkina-Faso)
  • Kenitra (Maroc)
  • Montpellier (France).

The Chair has accompanied the creation of this network and makes it work with the support of its partners.

The IET VAST – Institute of Environmental Technologies, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology – and the UNESCO SIMEV Chair are committed to support the implementation of membrane technologies in Asia.

Collaborative actions have been implemented since 2011, including the launch of a doctoral program and the organization of 3 STM thematic schools.

Erasmus Mundus EM3E-4SW: quality and influence of European higher education

The EM3E Master and EUDIME Doctorate projects were funded by the European Commission in 2010 under the Erasmus Mundus program (2011-2017). These two projects are the result of the collaboration of various partners through the European Research Network of Excellence NanoMemPro, coordinated by the CNRS via the IEM and the Chemical Engineering Laboratory of Paul Sabatier University, in Toulouse.

In 2016, the European Commission renewed the Master’s degree under the Erasmus + program and confirmed its level of excellence.

The Master in Membrane Engineering for a Sustainable World, EM3E-4SW, now offers a program at the interface between materials science and chemical engineering.
